Avery's Twoddles Birthday Party

It feels like a blink ago that we welcomed Avery Nell into the world! I can still remember every detail of that special day when Mommy and Daddy's life changed in the best possible way.  You stole our hearts in minutes and have been the biggest joy in our lives since.  While Mommy promised to scale back the birthday party festivities this year Daddy doesn't think that really happen.  We decided to have a Minnie Mouse themed party for your second birthday and it lent itself to lots of fun ideas for the part decor.  Mommy and Rachel prepared for weeks doing crafts here and there as we got ready for the big day.  Family and friends all came together on Saturday August 13th( a day early) to celebrate our little peanut.

Oh Two-oddles the Birthday Girl is Here!!

For Avery's real birthday on August 14th, we had a nice quiet family day.  We started our day with a our usual weekend walk to Starbucks with Brisco in our jammies.  We took Avery to swim class for her usual Sunday morning activity.  And then her birthday happen to fall on the same weekend as Retro on Roscoe a huge street festival in our neighborhood, so that afternoon Mommy and Daddy took you to the kids area for you to play.  They had lots of bounce houses and blow up playzones - a perfect way to spend a birthday! Avery had a blast and it was so fun to watch her play in the bounce house, even though she's little she loves hopping around in them.
