We had a very good 20 week Dr. appointment for baby boy. He is pacing a week ahead from our estimated due date and is 13 ounces. His heartbeat was 137 and he is in the 59th percentile. I was surprised to know I'm at the same weight as Avery since I feel so much bigger, my stomach is already 25 inches (should be 20).  Only thing that was of concern is that his kidney's are dilated which is common for boys, so i'm headed back in four weeks and will have an additional ultra sound to see if they have improved.

We got ready to head up to St. Paul for the weekend to celebrate Grandpa's 70th birthday and Uncle Mike and Auntie Vicki's wedding shower.  It was going to be a quick trip with a lot packed in.  We decided to fly to make it worth our time since it's such a long drive and who wants to be stuck in a car with a toddler for a like 10 hours - NOT US

We arrived late morning and headed to Bubbie and Grandpa's house just in time for Avery to eat some lunch and go down for her nap.  While you did that Mommy went out to get her nails done and Daddy spent time with Grandpa. That evening they had a party to celebrate your Grandpa's birthday with some family and their friends.

On Saturday we headed over to Sea Life with Auntie Susie, Auntie Michelle, her kids Eleanor and Jake, Bubbie, Grandpa, Auntie Vicki and Uncle Mike.  Avery loved every minute, seeing all the fish and touching the sting rays. Afterward the boys and grandparents took Avery home for lunch and a nap while the girls; Vicki, Michelle and I went to lunch and shopping.  That night we all went out to dinner including Auntie Susie and Nancy to Handsome Hog.  Avery was an angle thanks to an episode of Paw Patrol.

On Sunday, we all got ready for a fun day to celebrate Uncle Mike and Aunt Vicki at their wedding shower.  It was a very nice brunch with some of Bubbies friends and our family.  Avery had a great time eating brunch and then playing on the putting green the entire shower, chasing after balls, putting them in the hole and taking them out.

After the shower we let Avery nap and then got ready to go to the airport. We had such a nice time with everyone but it was a busy weekend and Momma was ready to sleep which is exactly what i did the minute we got home.

Babymoon #2

Mommy and Daddy decided that a babymoon was in order prior to the arrival of Baby Boy.  We booked a trip to Scottsdale AZ given all the scary stuff going on with the Zika virus and not wanting to risk anything happening.  A trip out of town meant a whole week of time with Nana and then Papa also came to help toward the end of the week.  We are so lucky and grateful for our wonderful nanny as well Rachel helped out every day while Nana was in town during the week.

More park fun

We stayed at the Phonecian Hotel and resort which was breathtaking. It was a perfect weather week there, nice and hot with no humidity. We laid out at the pool everyday, enjoyed yummy dinners, did some shopping in old Scottsdale.  We were able to meet up with our good friends the Gullo's and their adorable daughter Audrey two nights.  At the end of our trip Dave's brother and fiance Vicki came and met us and we had some family bonding.

For Daddy's birthday we took a big adventure and went to the Grand Canyon.  We flew on a tiny little plan over the canyon and then took a Jeep tour through the national park.  It was an unbelievable experience. Only negative was mommy got motion sick on the way home on the plane so it was a long flight.
