Gavin Three Months

Mr. Gavin was three months on 1/22/2017.  We had returned from Florida a week prior which was a whirlwind day of traveling with two kids. Thank goodness for Rachel who joined us toward the end of the trip to help Mama fly home with the kiddos.

Gavin is becoming such an adorable little man! He is getting so big it's hard to believe how quickly he has changed.  We don't have a three month Dr. appointment, but if we are guessing I would say we are probably around 15 pounds.

3 Months 1/22/2016

Comparison of Avery and Gavin each at 3 months - we thought they were super similar looking, however we didn't realize just how chubby little miss Avery was.

So cute how they sleep exactly the same way.

Gavin's days have the same activities day after day.  Eat, Wake, Sleep.  We try to do tummy time multiple times a day to continue to improve his head strength.  Gavin also started rolling over this month which was so fun to be home for! We've definitely noticed that he is photographed on a lot of pink.. product of having an older sister for sure!

He has started to really come into his own. He is coo'ing all the time and talking to us.  He is a big smiler, and has had a few giggles.  He also rolled over on his three month bday! That was so exciting to be home for

Gavin's schedule is still a little loose, he prefers to eat more often than his sister did. Right at three months Gavin started extending to a 3 hour eating routine, with a late night feed.

Depending on the night he wakes anywhere from 3-5am to eat - after that he usually wants to eat again within three hours, however it's definitely a smaller feed btw 7-8 usually.

Down for a nap btw 9-10 - this is where we are struggling. Gavin will nap for only 30 minutes... maybe 45 this first nap of the day but that's it.  So in order to get him to be rested we usually go in and rock with him again till he gets a full hour.  (I have found that him sleeping better during the day makes for a better night of sleep)

up around 10-11a for our next feed.  I am nursing almost exclusive since i'm still home I prefer to just feed him that way.  We did have some issues though getting him to take a bottle bc he loves to nurse.  Because of that we have adjusted to at least one bottle a day, sometimes two during the week when Rachel is here.   During our wake time we play on our mat, do lots of tummy time, sometimes run an errand with Mommy - just depends on our mood for the day.

nap 12-1 and then eat again - rinse and repeat the earlier routine.
nap 3-4
630p bedtime routine - bath, feed, snuggles lights out by 730.
