The Walter Family: Gavin 8 Months Old & June 2017

Gavin was 8 months old on June 22, 2017! We've had such a busy summer time is really flying by! He's really starting to look more and more like Daddy which I just love seeing a little mini version of Dave. His monthly photos are also becoming harder and harder to accomplish.

Avery loves playing with her little brother and Gavin loves being around her. They are so sweet together. He very much has Dave's personality of go with the flow as you can see in the video below with Avery - he takes everything in stride.

The weather this summer has been so nice! The kids have been outside every day enjoying the deck, coloring and playing up there!

Gavin had his first swing ride this month and absolutely loves it!

He started pulling himself up on his crib - instant anxiety for Mama and we dropped it down immediately.

As weather has warmed up we started filling up the pool for them to play in every day, Gavin LOVES the water.

Avery's obsession with Disney movies and music continues as she reenacts the Frozen songs below.

We were up in Barrington a lot this month and got to go to the race track a few times. Papa had lots of horses running, and really enjoyed having the kids there to watch.

We joined Avery's friend Susie and her brothers, Mom and Aunt at Foster beach early on a Sunday and it's our new favorite beach in the city. The sand is nice, the water is still cold but it's all families and not super crowded since we get there so early in the morning.

Pretty sure Gavin's plank is better than mine! Ignore the table cloth, i was hoping it would help his knees not get scratched. I've since given up!

Our dear friends Lorin, Aaron and their sweet little baby Emmaline joined us for a night in June. Emma is their third baby and it was fun to be able to have time to meet her! We certainly missed Addy and Timmy though - Avery would have loved playing with them. We'll have to wait till December in Florida.

Meal time with Gavin has become more of an adventure! He is great at trying new foods, below enjoying some avacados. He much prefers to feed himself with finger foods than have us feed him.
