We are half way through Gavin's first year - how crazy to think that in only six more months he will be one. At Gavin's six month Dr visit we found out he is 16lbs. 12oz 26in and his head is 17 in.
At Six months, Gavin is taking around three naps a day with about two hours of awake time in between. He usually wakes up EARLY if we are lucky 6am and goes to bed about 630pm. He is eating mostly breastmilk and some soft foods. He hasn't gained any weight since his four month check up so they suggested we start feeding him fattier foods like avocado, yogurt and protein purees.
Gavin is starting to really get his groove in the morning with a longer am nap - he is stretching to about an hour and a half sometimes even two hours. He is starting to figure out how to jump in his jumparoo which is really working his little legs
This month Avery continued to attend Gymobree and slightly easier now that he is a little bigger. Rachel tends to just pop him in an inner tube and he's happy as can be watching that kids run around.

We've been using the bumpo chair a lot more especially as a great spot to have him work on sitting while we do a few things in the kitchen and get Avery's food ready. He's had fun playing while in the seat as well.
There is no question about it - these babies love their doggy!
sneaking snuggles with Avery's Mickey
We've been working a lot on Gavin sitting up, using the boppy for a lot of cushioning and also the couch - wedging him in the corner but just like his sister, he's got great balance and is doing really well.
This video is one of my favorite of Gavin so far - it's just the sweetest moment of Gavin and Daddy
It's a complete love fest between Avery and Gavin. She is very inclusive of him and wants to help with his activities all the time. Getting him up from his nap, giving him a bath and feeding. She is too sweet to her little brother.
I found a few sweet photos of Auntie Nancy from her visit for Gavin's blessing that I wanted to be sure to include for everyone to see.
Avery's ballet class continues at our new studio. Every week they dress up as the story they read and it is just the cutest EVER.
