Avery is approaching her second birthday just four months away! It's amazing how much she learns and changes every month as we get closer to true toddle land!!
Her daily routine is so regimented at this point it's really something she expects.
7am Wake up, followed by breakfast
-These days we rotate between waffles, oatmeal, fruit and yogurt
-After that if it's a week day we go upstairs and snuggle with Momma before she gets ready for work and then Avery gets to watch a Paw Patrol or Mickey Mouse episode. If it's a weekend sometimes we let her watch a 30 minute show or we start playing in the family room.
- Then we head upstairs and let her pick out her outfit, we usually give choices - these days she loves playing in her castle she got for Easter, running in it and hiding and coming out and going back in.
- The rest of the morning is a variety of things depending on the weather and mood, playdates with Emma, Park time, Library story time, coloring, painting, playing with playdough, playing outside with cars.
12 Lunch time, followed by nap time
- Avery is starting to become a little more picky with what she eats - one day she likes grilled cheese the next she doesn't so that has really kept us on our toes. She loves rice right now which is funny so we've been trying to hide veggies in there as much as possible.
1-3p is Nap Time, sometimes that varies depending on the day.
3p - Post nap, sometimes we read in our room, take brisco for a walk, go to the park or run an errand
530-6p Dinner time - struggling sometimes with what foods she will eat. Rachel one day had to feed everything to Mickey before Avery would eat it. We are getting creative.
745-8p - Bedtime - we take a bath every night, read books, snuggle and then hop into bed.
Finger painting
organizing tupperware lids
playing with Mickey
Climbing on the couch
We've had lots of play dates with Emma sometimes two or three a week depending on how everyone is feeling.
Being silly in front of the house
Waiting for Emma in mommies boots
Hiding under the sink :)
On the weekends we try to keep ourselves as busy as we can. On Saturdays, Dave takes Avery to family Gymboree, sometimes Mommy goes but it's a nice time for the two of them to enjoy together. On Sunday's we go to swim class every week. Avery is getting much more comfortable about going underwater and floating on her back. Every night in the tub she practices her back floats.
