The last couple weeks have been overwhelming to say the least as my best friend has been in the hospital. She is finally at home at continuing to recover there, everyday getting stronger which is such a relief!! I continue to send her prayers, love and support during this time as she and her family begin to heal. I also want to take a moment to remember her miracle daughter Hope, while she is now with God, she is an angel to all of us and we will always remember her.
26 Weeks
This week marks week 26, as my second trimester winds down it's hard to believe in only three months life will be changing. This week was slower for both of us, since neither one of us were traveling, which was a nice change. I've definitely started to feel the challenges of getting larger, bending over and getting up has certainly become more difficult. I'm just moving slower in general.
We had an eventful weekend enjoying one of my favorite days Derby Day... We were pulling for Danza to win, of all names it was Dave's fraternity nickname so we couldn't help ourselves... he came in third so good enough for us. We were invited to join the Barrington crowd at the Derby Children's Charities event - it was held at Old Barrington Farm which is a newer barn in Barrington. They had raffles, a bourbon testing which Dave took full advantage of and a equestrian demonstration which I truly enjoyed watching. Makes we want to get back in the saddle, at least in maybe six months :) We had a wonderful time, everyone looked fabulous in their Derby dresses and hats. I had to make a last minute run to the store to get a new dress because the one I intended to wear was much to tight after buying it a month ago, oh well.
From L to R: Amanda, Me, Priscilla, Lindsey, Jessie, Cassie, Brian, Dave, Ryan, John, Matt and Scott
We continue to make changes in the condo, this weeks was giving away our green couch to a friend of mine who was in need of a new couch and moving our newer gray sleeper couch into the living room. We are still trying to decide if we like the configuration or if we should take the chase lounge away and make it a standard couch. We've got to live with it a few days each way I think before we make a decision.
