Gavin George Walter Hospital Photos

The hospital uses a fantastic photographer who comes to your room to get photos of your baby and family.  We were able to time ours so that Avery could also be at the hospital for a few photos of the two of them together - they are the best of all of them!!

At 3am on 10/22/2016 my water broke - Surprise!!! our Lil man just didn't want to wait till 9:30am when he was scheduled to come that day. We headed to the hospital, leaving our house around 4am - the good news is that Nana and Papa were already at our house since we had such an early morning the next day with a scheduled delivery.

After we got checked in we wait for Mommies Dr to arrive.  We made our way to the operating room.  Gavin George Walter was born on 10/22/2016 at 6:59 am. You weighed 9lbs 9oz and was 21inches long.  He came out yelling and was wrapped up and brought over so we could meet the little cutie.  Mommy was more nervous this time and was very emotional after he was born.  We were taking to post op where we sat for about an hour and then went to our room.  That day Nana, Papa and Avery came to visit to meet you!

We are so blessed to have another beautiful healthy child, we are thankful every day and look forward to the adventures together as a family of four.  We know it wont always be easy, but we are full of love right now and can't wait to get home and share more memories together.

Labor Day Weekend 2016

Labor day weekend was all about laying low and enjoying our last few days as a family of three! We stuck around the city since doing anything was getting really difficult for me and laid low.  Target runs, the beach, the Zoo and all with as little heavy walking as possible. 

Auntie Kristin was in town so we had a girls dinner that Thursday.  It was fun to see everyone and we found out that Auntie Jenny is pregnant and expecting a boy!

The Friday of Labor Day weekend Avery went to work with Mommy, first we headed to mommies DR appoitment and then we went into the office for the morning.  She had so much fun exploring, talking to everyone.  She would walk up to peoples desks and say hi, ran up and down the halls, hung out with mommies planner and watched Paw Patrol in Mommies office so she could get some work done.

That Saturday we went to the beach at Fullerton beach - we didn't go the entire summer which we will be correcting next summer with both kids. Avery had a great time running around with Daddy dipping her toes in the water, even though it was really cold.  Chasing birds and digging in the sand.

Every once and a while Avery and Rachel go over to her apartment to play with her kitty cat

On Sunday we went to Lincoln Park Zoo.  Avery has finally got over hear of the train and carousal and wanted to ride the train over and over.  

We started to bring out all of our baby items and Avery had so much fun playing with the bottles, diapers and rocking seats.  She has been feeding mickey and minnie, putting diapers on them and swaddling them.  We think she is going to make such a great big sister and such a helper.
